History

Lethbridge was named after the Lethbridge family, who were early settlers in the area. The town was originally founded as a railway settlement in the late 1800s and grew as a center for the local farming community. In the early 1900s, a number of commercial enterprises were established in Lethbridge, including a general store, a post office and a hotel.
